News: Ake on his way to Vitesse? De Rossi bid in the making?

Sundays are usually the day of rest for many but the transfer rumours during the summer window never end. Today is no different.

Chelsea & Vitesse relationship to strengthen with Ake loan?

According to Omroep Gelderland a Dutch public broadcaster the Chelsea young player of the year and Europa League winner last season, Nathan Ake may be on his way to Vitesse on loan. The midfielder could step in to the gap, new Chelsea signing, Marco van Ginkel has left in the Dutch side’s midfield. A season of first team football in The Eredivise could see Ake gain valuable experience and playing time against better opposition then he will find if he’s left to play for the reserves and youth team. Ake would likely be joined by fellow Chelsea teammates, Gael Kakuta and Patrick van Aanholt.

De Rossi wants a move to Stamford Bridge

Chelsea’s pursuit for another central midfield continues as the Daily Express report that the club are preparing a £15million offer for the Italian international. This is an increase on the previously reported £10million but that could be a sign of the player’s form in the Confederations Cup. The Mirror are also running a De Rossi story suggesting that a source close to the player claimed

“If Mourinho calls, I’m sure De Rossi will say yes”

De Rossi was linked to City last year but the source suggests that the player never had an intention of going to Manchester but London could provide enough allure.

“He did not want to go to Manchester City, but Chelsea are the club who could take him to England”

However the stumbling block may be that De Rossi is unlikely to accept any sort of cut to his wages.

“If Chelsea are prepared to pay his wages, then it is a transfer that can happen.”
