After the 3-0 win against Bolton, Frank Lampard talked about how his relationship with manager Villas-Boas was. Claiming it was ‘not ideal’ but that focus should not lie on individual relationships between player and manager.
Villas-Boas today seems to agree with the Chelsea vice-captain, insisting that, “It’s just a manager-player relationship in the end,” Villas-Boas said.
“Frank’s words are genuine. They are genuine from a player that has a reflection of a relationship between us. For me, it’s fine, I have no problems with it.”
Fans will agree in hoping these are the final words on a matter that appears could distract the team and disrupt morale in a crucial period of the season.
